Heal Your Sibling Relationships: A Mini-Workshop Using The Work of Byron Katie
November 19th | 9am-Noon PT | Online via Zoom | $65 with sliding scale option $37+

The 3-Hour Process That Can End 30+ Years of Family Pain

The people who raised us are sometimes still running our lives—not through their actual presence, but through the unquestioned stories we carry about them.

This intensive 3-hour workshop uses Byron Katie's four questions to dissolve the childhood wounds, resentments, and patterns that unconsciously sabotage your adult relationships.

You'll discover that forgiving your family isn't about letting them off the hook—it's about unhooking yourself from the painful beliefs that keep you emotionally frozen at age 5, 10, or 15, still waiting for the love, approval, or apology that will never come the way you imagined it should.

About This Workshop

In this intimate 3-hour mini-workshop, we'll use The Work of Byron Katie—a powerful method of self-inquiry—to examine and release the painful thoughts we carry about our family of origin.

Through Byron Katie's four questions and turnarounds, you may be able to address issues like the following:

  • You're the eternal peacekeeper, just like in childhood
  • You can't say no without crushing guilt
  • You're still the scapegoat, hero, or invisible child
  • You marry someone just like mom/dad (or their exact opposite)
  • You're hypervigilant about not becoming your parents
  • You hear their critical voice in your head constantly

Here's what no one tells us:

Our family of origin isn't the problem.
Our family of origin THOUGHTS are the problem.
And in three hours, you can question painful beliefs that keep us chained to a childhood that ended decades ago."

This Workshop Is For You If:

  • You still edit yourself around family members — Walking on eggshells, censoring your truth, or shapeshifting into whoever you learned they needed you to be (even though you're a grown adult with your own life, mortgage, and maybe even kids)
  • You recognize your parent's voice coming out of your mouth — That horrifying moment when you hear yourself saying exactly what they said, treating your kids/partner/employees the way you swore you never would, or catching yourself living out their fears and limitations as if they were your own
  • You've done therapy but still get triggered — You can perfectly explain your family dynamics, attachment style, and childhood wounds with psychological precision, but one phone call from mom or memory of dad still sends your nervous system into fight, flight, or freeze
  • You're exhausted from managing other people through your family lens — Every authority figure becomes your critical father, every needy person triggers your caretaking role, every conflict feels like the one you could never resolve at home, and you're tired of your 40-year-old life being run by your 10-year-old survival strategies
  • You know there's unfinished business blocking your freedom — Maybe they're deceased, estranged, or just emotionally unavailable, but you carry an invisible weight of resentment, guilt, or grief that you're ready to finally put down so you can stop being their child and start being yourself

What You'll Experience:

  • Gentle guidance through The Work process with sibling-specific examples
  • Live facilitation with a long-time experienced facilitator
  • Safe space for personal inquiry (you can keep your worksheet private or share if you choose)
  • A community of others navigating similar family complexities
  • Practical tools you can use long after the workshop ends
  • No prior experience with The Work is necessary. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to question your thoughts.

No prior experience with The Work required. Come with an open heart and willingness to question your thoughts.

Can't attend live? No problem! You'll receive access to the full replay for 30 days, so you can experience this transformation on your own timeline.

Meditate on all four questions, then find turnarounds, and examples for each turnaround. This process takes focus, an open heart, and stillness. Your examples for each turnaround will reveal new realities to you. Allow them, as they are shown to you, to settle into your awareness, realities you may not have been aware of, they will wake you up one by one and enlighten you, show you a much kinder world. With all the love in my heart, I invite you to meet that world that is living right here, right now, right under your nose, just four questions (and your answers to them) away.." ~ Byron Katie

Why work with Grace?

Since 2005, what I've noticed about my students as well as my own personal inquiry life, is that so much can be discovered when it comes to telling our stories. To question and shift our thoughts about friends when it has gone "wrong" can altar for the best your perception of life.

Grace Bell, Long-Time Facilitator of The Work (received certification in The Work in 2007)

MA Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University Leadership Institute of Seattle 1997

Certified Counselor WA State since 1997

Doing The Work on "mother, father, sisters, cousins, uncles, grandparents, children" has brought the greatest freedom to my life.

Let's do The Work, for freedom.

Is This Workshop Right For You?

Q: I've never done The Work before. Can I still participate?
Yes, absolutely! This workshop is designed for both beginners and those with experience. We'll cover the basics of The Work's four questions and turnarounds as we move through the process, ensuring everyone has the foundation needed to engage. I'll guide you every step of the way. Coming with a "Beginners Mind" is actually wonderful.

Q: Is this workshop too basic for my situation? Work is powerful precisely because it meets you where you are. Many participants with deeply challenging experiences with the body have experienced significant shifts. The simplicity of the process allows it to work with even the most complex situations.

Q: Do I need to share personal details?
No. While voluntary sharing can enhance the experience, you can participate fully by working with your thoughts privately. The workshop is structured to respect everyone's comfort level with disclosure. You can attend with camera off (although you are encouraged to have it on for connection) and everyone will be muted unless you want to share.

Q: What technical requirements do I need for the Zoom meeting?
You'll need a device with internet connection, a webcam, and microphone. A quiet, private space is recommended. The Zoom link will be sent to you after registration, along with simple instructions for joining if you're new to the platform. It is also possible to dial in with your phone.

Q: Will the session be recorded?
Yes, the workshop will be recorded and available to participants afterward. This allows you to revisit the material or catch up if you miss any portion. Your privacy is important—sharing of the recording outside the participant group is not permitted.

Q: Can I get individual attention during the workshop?
While this is a group workshop, there will be opportunities for individual guidance if you raise your hand. We'll have at least one volunteer demonstration of The Work during the session, and possible breakout rooms for a paired exercise with support available.

Q: I'm concerned about emotional overwhelm. Is this workshop safe?
The Work is designed to be a gentle process of self-inquiry, not an emotional catharsis. Grace creates a contained, supportive environment. However, if you're currently in acute emotional distress or crisis, individual sessions might fit better for you before attending a group workshop.

Q: I have one last question--how can I contact you?

You can always schedule a short 15 minute complimentary session with Grace to meet her and see if the workshop fits for you. Write grace@workwithgrace.com if you'd prefer to email. Visit https://calendly.com/work-with-grace/consult to book a short introductory appointment.
