Tired of feeling resentment about one of the key caregiver roles of your life? Are you carrying painful thoughts about your father that continue to affect your life?

Discouraged and wishing you had a different father, and how this might have made life more pleasant, easier, or better in your childhood (or adulthood)?

Anxious about what fathering well means for you overall and your perceptions of the world: the qualities connected to attention, stability, provision, protection, security, connection?

Our relationship with our father is one of the most fundamental connections we experience in life. Yet for many of us, this relationship comes with complex emotions, unresolved conflicts, and thought patterns that can cause ongoing suffering.

This 2.5-hour focused workshop provides a powerful opportunity to examine and question your thoughts about "father" using The Work of Byron Katie—a simple yet profound method for identifying and questioning the thoughts that cause suffering in our lives.

What You'll Experience
In this intimate, supportive virtual environment, you'll learn how to apply the four questions of The Work specifically to your thoughts about your father. Through guided exercises and live demonstrations, you'll discover how to turn stressful thoughts into doorways to peace and understanding.

Five Transformative Benefits

1. Freedom from Painful Father-Related Thought Patterns
Discover how to identify and question the specific thoughts about your father that have caused suffering—perhaps for decades. Many participants experience immediate relief when they see how their own thinking, not their father, has been the source of their pain.

2. Better Relationship with Your Father--No Matter When
Whether your father is living or deceased, present in your life or estranged, this workshop offers the possibility of profound healing. By questioning your beliefs, you create space for a more authentic connection—or peace with what was.

3. Self-Inquiry Skills for Every Relationship in Your Life
The Work is a replicable four-question process you can continue using long after our workshop ends. This isn't just about your father—it's about gaining a lifelong tool for addressing challenging thoughts in any area of your life.

4. Relaxation of Stress and Emotional Reactivity
Many students report significant decreases in anxiety, resentment, guilt, and other stressful emotions after questioning their father-related beliefs. Imagine moving through Father's Day, family gatherings, or everyday triggers with newfound emotional freedom.

5. Greater Self-Awareness and Seeing Your Part in the Dance
The process helps you move beyond blame and victimhood to recognize your own projections and judgments. This deeper self-understanding fosters emotional maturity and opens doors to more fulfilling relationships in all areas of your life.

What Past Participants Say

"My father was someone I felt frightened of, abused by, and my story of being a victim of his actions was an immense burden to carry. I set it down by questioning my stories. It's been amazing to feel the grace of this weight lifted from my life."

"I am a full grown adult, and a father myself. I have done The Work on my father and had many ideas about him especially after learning as a boy I was adopted and sometimes dreaming of another father. But doing this work again taught me I had what I needed, nothing was missing. Incredible. I can also be more forgiving of myself and the way I was with my kids through The Work."

Limited Spaces Available

"Question what you are believing about your father. It’s not your father’s death that is causing your suffering; it’s your unquestioned thoughts about him and 'his' death. I invite you to question these, and set yourself free." ~ Byron Katie

Why work with Grace?

Since 2005, what I've noticed about my students as well as my own personal inquiry life, is that so much can be discovered when it comes to telling our story of FATHER. To question and shift our thoughts about fathers can altar one thing you've wished was different about yourself or about your life.

I always felt upset that my father had died so young, from leukemia. I thought that was a family tragedy that I'd never get over, never find ease with. I was wrong about that. I'm sad he left so "early" but it was amazing I had this father. I wasn't abandoned, after all.

Join me for the adventure. Let's do The Work and see what happens. I can't wait to join you in this inner journey on "father".

Is This Workshop Right For You?

Q: I've never done The Work before. Can I still participate?
Yes, absolutely! This workshop is designed for both beginners and those with experience. We'll cover the basics of The Work's four questions and turnarounds as we move through the process, ensuring everyone has the foundation needed to engage. I'll guide you every step of the way. Coming with a "Beginners Mind" is actually wonderful.

Q: My relationship with my father is extremely difficult. Is this workshop too basic for my situation? The Work is powerful precisely because it meets you where you are. Many participants with deeply challenging paternal relationships have experienced significant shifts. The simplicity of the process allows it to work with even the most complex relationship dynamics.

Q: What if my father has passed away?
The Work is equally effective whether your father is living or deceased. Many participants find profound healing in questioning thoughts about fathers who have passed, often experiencing a sense of resolution that wasn't possible during their father's lifetime.

Q: Do I need to share personal details about my relationship with my father?
No. While voluntary sharing can enhance the experience, you can participate fully by working with your thoughts privately. The workshop is structured to respect everyone's comfort level with disclosure. You can attend with camera off (although you are encouraged to have it on for connection) and everyone will be muted unless you want to share.

Q: What technical requirements do I need for the Zoom meeting?
You'll need a device with internet connection, a webcam, and microphone. A quiet, private space is recommended. The Zoom link will be sent to you after registration, along with simple instructions for joining if you're new to the platform.

Q: Will the session be recorded?
Yes, the workshop will be recorded and available to participants for 30 days afterward. This allows you to revisit the material or catch up if you miss any portion. Your privacy is important—sharing of the recording outside the participant group is not permitted.

Q: Can I get individual attention during the workshop?
While this is a group workshop, there will be opportunities for individual guidance. We'll have at least one volunteer demonstration of The Work during the session, and possible breakout rooms for a paired exercise with support available.

Q: I'm concerned about emotional overwhelm. Is this workshop safe?
The Work is designed to be a gentle process of self-inquiry, not an emotional catharsis. Grace creates a contained, supportive environment. However, if you're currently in acute emotional distress or crisis, individual sessions might fit better for you before attending a group workshop.

Q: I have one last question--how can I contact you?

You can always schedule a short 15 minute complimentary session with Grace to meet her and see if the workshop fits for you. Write grace@workwithgrace.com if you'd prefer to email. Visit https://calendly.com/work-with-grace/consult to book a short introductory appointment.
