HOW DO WE BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE PEACE FROM COMPULSIVE ENERGY?

Join Grace Bell, long-time facilitator of The Work of Byrno Katie and student of healing compulsion to return to what's happening now, instead of what will happen in the future, or what happened in the past, when it comes to compulsive behavior or activity.

We'll dig into the stories and thoughts causing upset, and question them using the four questions and turnarounds known as The Work of Byron Katie.

The format of this workshop experiential for understanding how to work with mind and compulsive behavior, with group participation on zoom.

People are free to attend camera on, or off (although you're encouraged to turn it on and be as present as possible, and share yourself with us).

Beginners to Experienced in The Work of Byron Katie all are welcome.

In the COMPULSION RETREAT half-day workshop, we access understanding about what's happening when we do what we do.

We can all find freedom and discover a wisdom in our own experience. Whether you've over-eaten, drunk alcohol, taken drugs, worked endless hours, watched screens, played games online, been reactive with anger or despair, bitten your nails or texted someone too often.

In this half-day event the participants learned the following:

  • Three most common woeful stories that lead to compulsive energy and off-balance behavior--and we'll learn how to question them.
  • How to change your mindset, beginning with self-inquiry, to interrupt the cycle of reaching, obsessing about, managing, or feeling guilty about your experience.
  • The Work of Byron Katie – our primary way of being with self-inquiry and deep investigation of the patterns we are stuck in, and how to break out of them. We’ll use some important exercises to sink into our personal awareness of what’s going on with self-judgment or self-care.
  • The retreat is recorded for only those who enroll.
  • You will leave with a deeper understanding of how to be present to your genuine feelings, your conflicting beliefs, and how to uncover your true self: the peaceful non-compulsive one.

"Grace is lovely. Willing, receptive, welcoming to it all. She lives The Work." ~ Laurie January 2020

"The underlying current of negative thoughts about myself surrounding food, weight and diet became clearer to me--particularly through the writing and meal exercises. Grace is phenomenal. She makes the retreat a 10/10; no matter what made me uncomfortable her energy and presence made it a safe environment. Her guidance and sharing of her experience were invaluable." ~ Participant January 2020 Retreat

"I know that speaking shame is the way to help it have less power, but to experience this around food and body was profound. It all worked for me, the content was just what I needed. Grace is amazing, She was able to meet each person just as they are." ~ Emily Eating Peace Retreat 2020
